Making uncertainty a part of your everyday experience is a lot easier than it sounds. Instead of telling someone to live in the present and ignore looming future fears and anxieties, it may be wise to briefly indulge in your present emotions with the caveat that you must promise yourself to balance the negative energy with positive. It will take double the positive energy—to bring yourself up and then second to elevate yourself further, but it may be worth the risk in order to learn the lesson.
Winter, now in its lowest point, ascends upward to the sunny and optimistic Spring and Summer. There lies an uncertainty at this point in January that our dry, pale skin wonders if it will ever feel the warmth of the sun again. It seems foolish to think it may not be back, but the longing for warmer days mirrors the somber winter mood. As we pull ourselves up from pensive hibernation, we must pull double hard to enjoy life again in the sun.
